Charles Dell’Anno is a litigator in Nixon Peabody’s Government Investigations and White Collar Defense group, representing individuals and corporations across multiple industries.
I focus on representing clients through all stages of government investigations initiated by both state and federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and state Attorney General’s Office. My experience includes representing clients in connection with matters involving the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, the Securities Act and the Securities Exchange Act, and federal extortion and bribery laws, among others. I help companies—and company employees—in internal investigations to assess and mitigate risk. I represent clients through all stages of enforcement proceedings, from grand jury proceedings through sentencing and appeals.
I also represent clients in complex commercial litigation including contract disputes, personal injury and products liability, and insurance coverage and insolvency disputes. I have experience representing clients in civil disputes at both the trial and appellate levels.
Fraud enforcement continues to be a priority. Even under the new administration, the federal government has committed more resources to white collar enforcement, including international fraud and corruption matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Both state and federal governments will aggressively pursue criminal and civil enforcement of both domestic and international fraud.
